Subaru Stops Sales of All 2.5L Turbo Powered Cars Globally

Subaru yesterday suspended worldwide sales of several Subaru models after identifying "less than 10 instances" of excessive big-end bearing wear in models using its high-performance 2.5-litre turbocharged engine.

The potential problem affects brand-new Forester XT, Impreza WRX and WRX STI, and Liberty GT hatches, sedans and wagons built since early January.

Nissan R35 GT-R V-Spec Spotted on the Nurburgring

Earlier this week, spy photographers spotted a Nissan GT-R V-Spec arriving at Nissan's Nürburgring workshop. The visible changes are certainly subtle, and not as far-reaching as some had expected, but the differences are present nonetheless.

Nissan has also set a sub-7 minute 25 second Nürburgring goal for the GT-R V-Spec — 18 seconds faster than the current car.

Australian Delivery of Lexus IS-F Postponed

Lexus has delayed introduction of the hot-shoe IS-F model to Australia, while negotiating with head office for a competitive starting price and an upgraded interior.

Lexus acknowledges that the introduction of the aggressively-priced and luxuriously appointed AMG C63 has contributed to a pause in the IS-F launch program, while the company decides how it will re-position the car to take the shine off the Mercedes.
