Tokyo Daze: Streetfighter II gadget

Okay.  I am hopeless at Street Fighter II.  Can’t even do the combo for that fireball-hadoken thing, all I can do is the E-Honda hand-slap combo.  I get my ass handed to me by 6yr olds.  But….if you are one of those people whose fingers are still worn down to the nub and haven’t grown back since playing SFII in the 1990s, then this gadget may well be for you.  It makes Street Fighter II sounds.  That’s right.  Sounds of Street Fighter II.  It’s a keychain. I bet you want one.  Bandai makes it, and it’s about ten bucks. More info here and video here.

Tokyo Daze: Giant Robot Tour of Japan is Giant

One of the fun and unique things about Japan is its preponderance of large robots.  From life-sized Gundam statues that light up at night to 2 ton metal sculptures of the Votoms Scopedog, it’s all there.  But where do you go to find this cool stuff?  Wonder no more, our friends at the Muza-Chan blog have come up with the ultimate tourist’s guide to finding Unfeasibly Large Robots In Japan, with maps and everything.  Last one to the Tetsujin 28-go is a rotten egg!
