Since its inception, company activities have grown to include manufacturing and development of racing engines for various forms of Japanese motorsports, ranging from Formula 3 to GT300. TRUST/GReddy was founded in Japan in 1977. The Trust company LTD has become a major player in automotive performance products with popular brand names like GReddy, GREX, t, and GRacer, the Trust Company offers one of the widest varieties of performance automotive components. GReddy is originally named after a Japanese mountain called “Great Eddy” hence the GR in capital and the eddy in lower case.

A living legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya is a professional racing driver also known as the “Drift King” (otherwise as Dorikin) for his nontraditional use of drifting in non-drifting racing events, and his role in popularising drifting as a motorsport. He’s also known for touge (mountain pass) driving. The car that he uses to drive has become one of the most popular sports cars these days, Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno (a.k.a. the “Hachi-Roku” in Japan (hachi-roku meaning “eight six”)).
