Veilside

Either you love their style, or hate it… Veilside are famous for their aerodynamic and aesthetic enhancement of the vehicle. The name is derived from the owner’s name, Yokomaku Hiranao. “Yoko” means “side” and “maku” means “veil”, which are compounded to form “Veilside”. Hirano was influenced by the 1960s Batmobile and designed along those lines. In 1994, the Supra Combat design was released and took the Grand prize at the Tokyo Auto Salon in the Complete Car category.

Let’s not forget Daihatsu, a Japanese manufacturer of cars, well known for its smaller models. Many of its models are also known as kei jidosha (or kei cars) in Japan.

Mugen – Formed in 1973 by Hirotoshi Honda, the son of Honda Motor Company founder Soichiro Honda, and Masao Kimura. Mugen, meaning “Without Limit”, is an engine tuner and parts manufacturer closely associated with the Honda Motor Company.

RE Amemiya – rotary gods that hail from the Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Founded by Isami Amemiya, a man who has made a name for himself tuning rotary engines since 1974 and has become a pioneer in tuning rotary-powered Mazdas. Thirty years later, first on the street and later in the Super GT series, Amemiya has made his mark on the tuning and motorsports worlds for rotaries.

MASSIVE NEWS!!! Proconcept and Seeco-Proconcept Racing have tied a new partnership deal with SPOON SPORTS.

In summary, this new partnership will involve Proconcept, automotive workshop based in West Ryde, Sydney, becoming the sole distributor of Spoon Sports products and Spoon Sports becoming a Technical Partner with the Seeco-Proconcept Racing Team.

Tatsuru Ichishima, President of Spoon Sports, will also be visiting Australia to publicly celebrate this new partnership at Circuit Club’s Eastern Creek Trackday on the 4th August 2007. He will also be made available to the media for interviews!!! For more info, hassle the Circuit Club guys.
