The BRE special for 2010 in collaboration with MazdaSpeed has made this MX-5 which is the first time BRE livery has been used in 37 years. BRE was founded by Peter Brock (of no relation to Brocky in Australia) who is famous for tuning Cobras and Corvettes in the US. For more information on this special car you can go here or here.

“tetsuyagarage” just went to Yokohama for the “Nostalgic 2 Days” event held from the 3rd-4th April 2010 at the Pacifico Yokohama. “Nostalgic Hero” and “Hachimaru-Hero” magazines both sponsored the event which brings together more than 120 classic cars (predominantly Nissans) in one large venue. “tetsuyagarage” has about a thousand pictures to upload, so it will probably take a some time to complete all the uploading. One look makes you think the designer is an old man who was forced to make his designs more ‘modern’. Make no mistake though, it isn’t boring. Its an especially intriguing car when you realise that its actually a NC MX5 wearing a Victorian dress. With the same LF-VE engine and 6 speed manual, but with a massive beer gut of an extra 200kg. Still its got double wishbone front, multi-link rear and Bilstein shocks. So always wanted a 1940s blitish cruiser that’s actually a Japanese impostor with a modern suspension setup and svelte body? Look no further than a Mitsuoka Himiko.
